3064090 - Error: Length of bank account number must not exceed 10 characters

An error is raised when entering Employee Bank Account for New Zealand.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Employee Data work center.
2. Go to the Employee view.
3. Find relevant ID.
4. Click Edit.
5. Go to the Personal Data tab.
6. Go to the Payment Information sub-tab.
7. Add Bank Account number.

Error will show: Length of bank account number must not exceed 10 characters.

This error occurs because the Bank and Branch part of the Bank Account are entered as well.

The Bank Account has format as BB-RRRR-AAAAAAA-SSS

• B - Bank
• R-Branch
• A-Account
• S-Suffix

Only the Account and Suffix should be entered in the Bank Account field. The Bank and Branch are derived by the system from the National Bank Code.
