3064539 - sapcontrol Stopsystem or StartSystem fail with 401 Unauthorized

Symptom

An SAP system with multiple instances, running on different servers, is being worked on.

One of the following commands is being executed:

  • sapcontrol -nr <Instance Number> -function StopSystem
     
  • sapcontrol -nr <Instance Number> -function StartSystem

Although logged on as SIDadm, the result is:

FAIL: HTTP Error, HTTP/1.1 401 Unauthorized
