3065508 - Duplicate External ID's In Copy & Paste Function

You enabled the Copy & Paste function in Products and decided to use the External Product ID as an alternative identifier.

However when you paste the External ID, since you have duplicated ID's it doesn't select the expected product.

SAP Cloud For Customer

1. Go to the document where you want to paste the product (e.g. Opportunities, Sales Quote, etc.).
2. Go to Products tab.
3. Click on Paste button.
4. Paste the content on the text field.
5. Incorrect product is added to the list. 

The functionality cannot handle duplicate matches, because it has no control/information on which product to choose from the list of duplicate entries.

This feature is not supported in the current release of SAP Cloud for Customer.

An alternative option may be to check the SAP Cloud for Customer Customer Influence to submit an idea:
