3066442 - Internal Error When Translating G/L Account Descriptions

You are maintaining the translation for some G/L Accounts descriptions, however the system terminates with an internal error upon save.

SAP Business ByDesign.

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Project view.
3. Open the activity list.
4. Open activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
5. Click Edit Chart of Accounts.
6. Highlight the relevant char of accounts and click Translate.
7. Select the Target Language.
8. Expand the Chart of Accounts and expand the General Ledger Account Texts.
9. For the one missing translation, maintain the required translation.

The error is due to the length of the description given. For some of the G/L accounts, the translated text is greater than length 80. The system only supports the description to have 80 characters max, including the space.

You need to maintain the text in target language with maximum 80 characters, including space.
