3066494 - Cannot create new model using HANA Live connection in Chrome Incognito Window in SAP Analytics Cloud

Symptom

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
  • Google Chrome (89 or above)

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Start Chrome, cick the three-dotted icon in the top right corner of the screen. Launch a new instance of Incognito Window by New Incognito Window.
  2. Create a new HANA Live connection in SAC tenant.
  3. Create a new model.
  4. Select the HANA Live connection as data source, enter user name/password, when trying to select data source, the selection box is grayed out. 

Cause

Cookies are blocked by Incognito Window mode. By default, the Block third-party cookies setting of Incognito Window is turned on.

Resolution

  1. Start a new instance of Incognito Window.
  2. Toggle off the Block third-party cookies setting off.
  3. Logon to SAC tenant in this Incognito Window instance and create a new model again.
