Symptom
- Cannot create new model using HANA Live connection in Chrome Incognito Window
- New model can be created by Chrome regular mode
- Cors and Samesite setting in HANA system has been configured following help doc SameSite Cookie Configuration for Live Data Connections
Environment
- SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)
- Google Chrome (89 or above)
Reproducing the Issue
- Start Chrome, cick the three-dotted icon in the top right corner of the screen. Launch a new instance of Incognito Window by New Incognito Window.
- Create a new HANA Live connection in SAC tenant.
- Create a new model.
- Select the HANA Live connection as data source, enter user name/password, when trying to select data source, the selection box is grayed out.
Cause
Cookies are blocked by Incognito Window mode. By default, the Block third-party cookies setting of Incognito Window is turned on.
Resolution
- Start a new instance of Incognito Window.
- Toggle off the Block third-party cookies setting off.
- Logon to SAC tenant in this Incognito Window instance and create a new model again.
