3066883 - Invalid Character During Restricted Key Figure Creation

You want to set fixed value selections, but is receiving the error message: "Value 'XYZ' (hex. 'StructureMember embedding Key Figure AAA') of characteristic @ABC contains invalid characters" (XYZ stands for any value, AAA stands for any Key Figure and @ABC stands for any characteristic).

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Business Analytics work center.
2. Go to the Design Key Figures work center view.
3. Search for the Key Figure AAA. Select it and click Edit.
4. On the second step, click Set Fixed Value selection button.
5. Try to add Value 'XYZ' (for example, Y^).
6. You'll see the error message "Value 'XYZ' (hex. 'StructureMember embedding Key Figure AAA') of characteristic @ABC contains invalid characters".

This issue happens because you are using an invalid character in restrictions, in other words, there are some characters that cannot be used per standard. The system only allows following characters:

!"%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?_0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.

You should use only these options of characters: !"%&'()*+,-./:;<=>?_0123456789ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ.
