Symptom

Introscope EM is not able to start, on the IntroscopeEntepriseManager.log the following error can be found:

[ERROR] [Trace Insertion] [Manager.TransactionTracer] Error inserting trace in database java.lang.NullPointerException: while trying to invoke the method                         org.garret.perst.Storage.beginThreadTransaction(int) of a null object loaded from field com.wily.introscope.server.enterprise.entity.transactiontrace.storage.LivePerstStorage.fPerstStorage of an object loaded  from local variable 'this'
