Symptom

The following error message occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud for Planning (SAC) when entering data even the dimension combination is valid in the validation rule:

Sorry, we couldn’t update the member values with your data entries. Possible reasons are restrictions due to validation rules, cell locks, or other technical issues. For more information, see our troubleshooting page.
A warning message appears over the validation rule: "some members in reference dimension cannot generate validation rules that allow data entry as their attribute values are empty"
