3068830 - OData Service giving an error "Content referencing is only allowed for changeset at once"

When opening an application, performing an action that results in an OData request or in the Gateway error log, the error "Content referencing is only allowed for changeset at once" is observed.

Some reports indicate there is a 404 not found on the backend call
