SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Time Off

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Employees are hired from 17th May with a dummy time profile without any time types assigned.
  2. Later from 1st June, the Actual Time Profile is assigned. Due to the Time Profile assignment from 1st June, The Time Account Type Eligibility is set to YES from 1st JUNE
  3. Between 17th May to 1st June, the time Account type eligibility is set to NO
  4. Let us assume the current scenario uses the DAILY Accrual Frequency
  5. In the above scenario, the system created time accounts from 17th May 2021 till the year 31st Dec 9999.
  6. When running the time off Calendar for the dates between 17th May to 1 June, it posted ZERO accrual on 17th May until 1st June. After 1st June, the accruals are posted as per the HIRE rule

This is expected behavior

  • For Permanent Time Accounts, it is expected that the system will post ZERO accruals if the Time Account Type eligibility object for the employee states the Eligibility is NO
  • It is currently not possible to have No Posting in this scenario
  • The accrual posting will happen as per the business rule if the Eligibility is set to YES in Time Account Type eligibility object
