Symptom

During customizing in /AIF/ transactions the following system error messages can be displayed:

  • Potentially unlicensed usage of AIF

or

  • Potentially unlicensed Usage of AIF; use of AIF restricted

or

  • Potentially unlicensed usage of AIF; you cannot save interface

        or

  • Potentially unlicensed usage of AIF; you cannot create interface

The error messages can occur for example;

  • During a customization attempt to an SAP delivered namespace,
  • As well as during the creation or test phase of a custom developed namespace or interface.
