Symptom

  • Hire Date Correction Workflow not triggering to employee's manager.
  • Hire Date Correction Workflow is triggering to initiator's manager.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Hire Date Correction
  2. Populate the date
  3. Save

Resolution

  • For Hire Date Correction, the employee's old Hire Date must be in the future (Old Hire Date > Today) and the corrected Hire date must be in the future (Corrected Hire Date > Today).
  • Since the hire date is in the future, the manager is not effective and the data is not synced to User Data File (UDF) / EP yet, hence the manager in the workflow will be the initiator's manager.
