3072268 - Ticket Machine Learning Translated Description Not Saved

Symptom

After translating the Description of a Ticket via machine learning feature, when closing the Ticket screen the translation disappears.

Environment

SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Service Work Center.
  2. Select the Tickets view.
  3. Open an existing Ticket.
  4. Click on Actions and select the option Translate, the Description field will be translated.
  5. Close the Ticket screen and open it again, the translated text will not be visible anymore.

Cause

The behavior is correct as per the original system design. By default Translated Text are not stored in the Cloud for Customer database, they are displayed only during the UI runtime.

Resolution

The translate field button will be always available (including for Closed Tickets). In case you need to check the translation you can do it manually (by clicking on Actions -> Translate) at any time.
