3072270 - How to prevent the 'Date of Manufacture' for a Batch being changed during a Goods Movement posting.

• Is possible to change the 'Date of Manufacture' for a Batch during a Goods Receipt posting.

• S/4 HANA Cloud

1. Post Goods Movement.
2. Choose Goods Receipt / Other.
3. Enter Material / Plant / Storage Location / Batch details. 
4. Date of Manufacture is taken from the Batch Master.
5. Date of Manufacture field is open to change the date.

Message '12004 Production date of bch &1 (&2) does not match the prod. date entered (&3)' is set as a Warning.

1. From Manage my Solution
2. Choose Logistics / Inventory.
3. Set System Messages in Inventory Management / SSCUI 103897
4. For message 12 004 this is set as 'W' Warning, change this to 'E' Error.
5. Save.
6. Go to Post Goods Movement.
7. Choose Goods Receipt / Other.
8. Enter Material / Plant / Storage Location / Batch details. 
9. Date of Manufacture is taken from the Batch Master.
10. Change the Date of Manufacture date.
11. Press check.
12. Error '12004 Production date of bch &1 (&2) does not match the prod. date entered (&3)' is raised, preventing the change, posting.

** In the standard SAP system, when we post a goods issue the system does not check the Production / SLED Dates in the Batch as standard. The check is only performed when posting a Goods Receipt.
