3072641 - Field wiped out when creating new position via Company Structure Overview - Employee Central

When trying to create a position based on a parent department for example within Company Structure Overview system wipe out the department in case you try to create the position in future date.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central 
• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite

1. Go to Company Structures Overview
2. Select a Department for example.
3. Click to "Add Child Entity"
4. Select position
5. Department field is correct on position
6. Now change the effective date to a future date
7. Note that this action removes the department field from the new position. 

Because of department associations, in case position effective date is changed, system will validate the parent object from Department and will wiped out the value for the new selection.

Currently this is working by system design as per Cause above. So, the object is going to respect the association based on the effective date.
