3072641 - Field wiped out when creating new position via Company Structure Overview - Employee Central

When trying to create a position based on a parent department for example within Company Structure Overview system wipe out the department in case you try to create the position in future date.

1. Go to Company Structures Overview
2. Select a Department for example.
3. Click to "Add Child Entity"
4. Select position
5. Department field is correct on position
6. Now change the effective date to a future date
7. Note that this action removes the department field from the new position. 

This is currently expected behavior from the system because of department associations, in case position effective date is changed, system will validate the parent object from Department and will wiped out the field for new selection.

Currently this is by system design however there is currently plan to enhance this functionality, please engage your CSM to track ECT-170324 enhancement status.
