3073263 - Error During Individual Material Scrapping, Complete Scrapping or While Posting Customer Invoice for Fixed Asset

While doing one of below actions you receive error messages:

• Complete Scrapping of Fixed Asset.
• Individual Material Scrapping of Fixed Asset.
• Post Customer Invoice of an IMAT (Individual Material)

Errors:

An error occurred during depreciation calculation for asset XXX

Asset XXX val. view YYY: Posting not possible; disposal amount is too high

Error occurred while determining values to be posted for fixed asset ZZZ - XXX

XXX - Represents the Fixed Asset ID.

YYY - Represents the View ID.

ZZZ - Represents the Company ID.

One possible scenario is:

1. Go to the Fixed Asset work center.
2. Go to the Fixed Asset view.
3. Select Fixed Asset XXX.
4. Click Actions - Complete Scrapping.
5. Click Post.

An error occurred during depreciation calculation for asset XXX

Asset XXX val. view YYY: Posting not possible; disposal amount is too high

Error occurred while determining values to be posted for fixed asset ZZZ - XXX

This can occur because a Credit and Debit Acquisition were posted for one of the IMATs to a Fiscal Year different than the original Acquisition Fiscal Year.

The system is not able to handle these calculations.

To adjust this case, you need to Reverse the Journal Entry Voucher that posted the Credit Acquisition.

In case your need was to transfer an Amount to another IMAT we recommend you to check below scenario:

1. Create a second Fixed Asset.
2. Perform a Partial Transfer of the needed Amount from IMAT of Fixed Asset XXX to the new Fixed Asset.

After this is done you will be able to perform the action as per your specific scenario (Scrap or Customer Invoice).
