3074452 - Default Quantity When Adding Products to Sales Orders

Symptom

When creating a Sales Order and adding products, you notice that a default quantity of items is set.

Environment

 SAP Cloud for Customer

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Sales workcenter, Sales Order view.
  2. Create a new order, XYZ (XYZ represents sales order ID), for Account ABC (ABC represents account ID).
  3. Add Product 123 (123 represents product ID) to the document.
  4. See that there's a random quantity for Product 123, that was not set by you.

Cause

You have set the scoping question "Would you like to enable average quantity display when creating orders?" in the business configuration. Hence, when Product 123 is added to a sales order, a quantity is proposed based on the past history (completed orders) of Product 123 for Account ABC.

Resolution

This is the expected system behavior, based on the scoped question.
