3074735 - Error: Customer and multi-customer projects not allowed for G/L postings

You are trying to proceed with the Migration of the G/L Account Balances and you have come across the error - Customer and multi-customer projects not allowed for G/L postings.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to Implementation Projects view.
3. Click Open Activity List button.
4. Go to Integrate and Extend phase.
5. Search for Migration of Accounting Transaction Data.
6. Click Open button.
7. Click Migrate accounting transaction data using the migration tool option.
8. Select desired Migration Unit.
9. Click Execute Migration button.
10. Select G/L Account Balances line.
11. Click Process File button.
12. During the simulation you observe the error 'Customer and multi-customer projects not allowed for G/L postings'.

The reason this error appears is due to the Project Task ID in the migration template. You can check the source record value for Project Task ID.

Currently, the system only allows project task of type customer/multi-customer with a manual posting of Journal Entry Voucher. It is not possible through data migration.

You have to remove Project Task ID from the migration template and proceed for migration.

If you still need to upload Project Task ID of type customer/multi-customer with a manual sales variant then you have to use manual journal entry vouchers. You may consider use Excel Upload from Journal Entry Vouchers view of General Ledger work center.
