Symptom
- set sp_passwordpolicy 'expire login passwords', 'login_name'
- login's default database changed using alter login command
- When the user logs into SAP ASE, the following message is raised:
The password has expired, but you are still allowed to log in. You must change your password before you can continue. If a login trigger is set, it will not be executed.
If user issues a simple query (e.g.) "select db_name()" or "use master" the following message is raised.
Msg 7742, Level 16, State 1:
Server 'ASE_instance_Name', Line 1:
You must change your password using the ALTER LOGIN command before you can continue.
