3075649 - Cannot Release Service Confirmation due to Error:Location with role Ship From Location missing

You tried to create service confirmation from a service order, in the new service confirmation, there is an error:Location with role Ship From Location missing.

You are not able to release it.

 SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Service Orders work center.
2. Go to the Service Order Processing view.
3. Find and open service order ABC. (ABC represents the service order ID)
4. Click Release - Confirm Service execution, in the new service confirmation screen, error shows up:Item XX: Location with role Ship From Location missing. (XX represents the item line ID)

In the service order line XX, the item type is Spare part - direct goods issue. For this type of sapre part, system will deduct inventory once the service confirmation is relesaed.

However, there is no Service Execution Team maintained in the service order, hence it is not filled in the new service confirmation, the Ship-From is then blank in the Parts(s) Consumption sub tab.

Maintain Service Execution Team in the service order, and ensure it is correct in the service confirmation. The ship-from will be determined based on this.
