3076950 - Error Message "Time type  not valid on DD.MM.YYYY" While Uploading Project Time Recording Through Excel Upload or Through any Time Recording UI

When you record Project Time Record through Excel, system throws below error:

Time type  not valid on DD/MM/YYYY

Similarly, when you record project time for the same employee and same date through Edit Time Sheet, below is the error message

Activity not valid on DD/MM/YYYY

SAP Business ByDesign

To reproduce for Excel Upload:

1. Go to Time Administration work center
2. Go to Time Sheet view
3. Select Actions button and choose Upload Project Confirmations from Microsoft Excel
4. Update the Time recordings
5. Save it with SAP Business ByDesign excel add-in in the MS Excel

To reproduce in Edit Time Sheet:

1. Go to Home work center
2. Go to Self Services Overview
3. Select Edit Time Sheet
4. Add the required details and release the time

There are two possible cause for this issue,

1. User has delimited the validity of the time times in Time Types fine tuning activity

2. Country is not scoped therefore time type is not valid for the employee. Example: The employee was migrated through Migration Tool but the hire country of the employee is not scoped in the system.

Check the Hiring country of the Employee and verify whether that country is scoped in the system

Solution for above causes,

1. Extend the validity of the Time Types

2. Scope the required country for the employee which enables the Time Type and the employee can do the time recording.
