Symptom

  • ASE Always-on Option (HADR) is setup.
  • There is a SQL script SYB_miniCheck.sql in Software Update Manager package (SUM).
  • The script checks SAP ASE database configurations for upgrade. It is described in SAP note 2986303
  • After submitted SYB_miniCheck.sql against the primary ASE, DSI in companion SRS went down with an error.
  • The error message in SRS errorlog is like:

    ERROR #1028 DSI EXEC(107(5) CID_Site2.CID) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5197)
Message from server: Message: 208, State 1, Severity 16 -- '#myVariables not found. Specify owner.objectname or use sp_help to check whether the object exists (sp_help may produce lots of output).
    THREAD FATAL ERROR #5049 DSI EXEC(107(5) CID_Site2.CID) - neric/dsi/dsiqmint.c(5210)
The DSI thread for database 'CID_Site2.CID' is being shutdown.
