3077744 - Execution of DBISQL passing a procedure name as part of the command line returns no result set

Symptom

  • Customer is reporting that when trying to execute a DBISQL  connection to IQ and pass over a particular stored procedure name  to run as part of the command line,  its not returning any result set.  The procedure does not get executed. This is an illustrative example of what the customer may be trying...

    dbisql -nogui -c "eng=iq_eng_name;links=tcpip{host=localhost;port=2640};uid=nnn;pwd=xxxxxxx" "sp_iqdbspace"

  • Running the same connection string for other stored procedures works is working fine.
  • Looking at the SQL Request level log output (-zr SQL) the connection to IQ is successful but no stored procedure name is passed to IQ for execution.
  • It matters not if this is executed local or remote to the IQ server.
  • It matters not in what format or structure is used for the connection string, nor what order the options are in, nor if the procedure name is in double or single quotes.
