3078052 - Error "Posting date must be after YYYY/MM/DD" Occurs in GR/IR Clearing

Error "Posting date must be after YYYY/MM/DD" in Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt Clearing (GR/IR Clearing).

For example, when executing GR/IR Clearing of period 006 2021, and it gave an error like "Posting date must be after 2021/07/01".

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Inventory Valuation work center
2. Go to GR/IR Clearing view
3. Click on the GR/IR clearing run ID: XXX (XXX represents the GR/IR clearing run ID).
4. Go to Messages tab, can see error: "Posting date must be after YYYY/MM/DD". (In our example, the error shows as "Posting date must be after 2021/07/01".)
5. Go to Processed with Errors and see the error for affected purchasing document items

Relevant purchasing document item relates to the procurement of a fixed asset. There has been a cost center validity change as to from YYYY/MM/DD.

In our example, updated the cost center validity as from 2021/07/01 in the fixed asset master data.

As per system-definition GR/IR clearing postings can only happen agreeing with the validity of related cost centers.

Please execute the GR/IR clearing in the period of MM.

In our example, run GR/IR Clearing of period 007.
