Symptom

  • Database recovery fails.
  • ASE errorlog reports the following errors:

Error: 716, Severity: 16, State: 28
Unable to allocate memory of size 24 bytes from the 'compression info' pool.
Error: 12547, Severity: 17, State: 6
Warning: Memory Allocation to store recovery information failed.
Database 'XXX' (dbid 4): Recovery failed. Check the ASE errorlog for further information as to the cause.
