3078671 - 401 Unauthorized error when accessing CPI via PO SOAP Adapter

Symptom

  • You are configuring an integration from SAP Process Orchestration (PO) to SAP Cloud Integration (CPI)
  • You are using Basic Authentication and have maintained an s-user to access the CPI tenant worker node URL
  • This is calling an Endpoint on a CPI iFlow
  • When testing the integration the message fails with error:
        Message processing failed. Cause: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.net.exception.HttpException:     User is not authorized! HTTP 401
        SOAP: Call failed: com.sap.aii.af.sdk.xi.net.exception.HttpException: User is not authorized! HTTP 401
        Failed to call the endpoint: Error in call over HTTP: HTTP 401
  • All necessary certificates are in place and the traces shows no issue with the SSL handshake
