3079365 - Error On Job Information Import "Please Assign A Time Recording Variant So That All The Time Off Fields Have An Entry"

Error occurs on job history import "Please assign a time recording variant so that all the time off fields have an entry".

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Time Off

1. The "Time Recording Variant" field is not enabled under jobInfo in Manage Business Configuration(BCUI)
2. The job history import file do not contain any time related fields and all relevant time fields are defaulted in jobInfo using an onSave rule(In BCUI)
3. The import fails with error "Please assign a time recording variant so that all the time off fields have an entry"

• This is a known limitation.
• Time Recording Variant value is not defaulted when no time off fields are set in the import file and all time fields are set through an onSave busnesss rule in job info.
• Incorrect value passed in the field time-recording-variant.

• Make sure no incorrect value passed in the time-recording-variant column - for example value like Clock_Times, correct value is CLOCK_TIME. 
• This enhancement has been confirmed for the b2205 1H 2022 Release.
• As a workaround until then, follow any of the below options:
  
  • Option 1
    
    1. Enable time recording variant field under job info in Manage Business Configuration UI (BCUI).
    2. Set the field 'Time Recording Variant' to duration/clock time in the On Save business rule.
  • Option 2
    
    • Disable the “Enable Centralized Services for Job Information (Applicable only for data imports from UI and API. Not applicable on instances having Pension Payout enabled)" in the company system and logo settings. *As of b2205 
    • NOTE: This is not recommended as a long-term plan as Centralized Services for Job Information will become mandatory in the upcoming release(1H 2022). From then there will be no option for the customer to enable or disable Job (Information) History Imports in b2205 as it will be universal.
    • This should be used as a workaround only during the import and you should switch it on after the import.
