3079409 - Bar char with reference line: overlapping labels in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• When using a bar chart with a reference line, the labels for the reference line and the bar may overlap in SAC
• This seems to happen if the value of the bar is a bit smaller than the reference line and depending on the size of the chart; smaller the chart or screen resolution more likely to be overlapped

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.10.1

The issue can be reproduced by creating a simple bar chart with a single value and adding a reference line with a (slightly) bigger value then resizing the chart to be smaller.

This is due to reference line labels that don't currently have collision detection for other elements which can include:

• Other reference line labels
• Data labels
• Axis labels

This issue is a product limitation and currently being looked at as an enhancement request for future releases.
