3079688 - SUM: Phase RUN_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN error "RSPC_SHUTDOWN" and "RSPC_GET_ACTIVE" does not exist

Symptom

  • While performing an upgrade of an ABAP system, using the Software Update Manager (SUM) an error occurs in Phase 
    RUN_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN   the following error was reported:

Single errors (code <= 8) found in logfile 'PHASE_RUN_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN.ELG'

ERROR:
Batchjob RS_UPG_TOOL_HMW failed.
The following errors were detected in the log files:

# /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/SUM/abap/log/RSUPG_SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN.SID:
3EEFL651 Function module "RSPC_SHUTDOWN" does not exist
3EEFL651 Function module "RSPC_GET_ACTIVE" does not exist
A3EERS_UPG_TOOL 725 Task SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN: Read long text for task documentation"SYSTEM_SHUTDOWN"
