3079715 - Product Specification ID Field Greyed out in Adaptation Mode of Purchase Order Screen

Product specification ID field is greyed out in the Adaptation Mode while creating new Purchase Order.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center. 
2. Go to Common tasks view and select New Purchase Order. 
3. Enter the necessary information (such as Supplier and Company). 
4. Navigate to Items tab. 
5. Open the Adaptation Mode. 

You can see that the Product Specification ID field is greyed out and cannot be selected.

Product Specification field is only available for To-Stock item. For Non-Stock item it is not available.

The Product Specification field is dependent on other fields (especially SCM -Supply Chain related work).

You have to scope other work center (for example sell specified stocks) and then you will be able to add the field successfully in the Purchase Order (which is a SRM (Supplier Relationship Management) related field.

1. To scope the above question, please follow the steps below:
2. Go to Business configuration work center.
3. Go to Implementation Projects view.
4. Select the current project.
5. Click in Edit Project Scope button. 
6. Click in Next button until you reach "Step 3 Scoping".
7. Expand Sales.
8. Expand Product and Service Portfolio for Sales. 
9. Select Sell Specified Products.
10. Click in Next button until reach "Step 4 Questions". 
11. Follow the same steps as in 7 and 8 and 9. 
12. Scope the question: You will be able to sell products made to the customer's specifications. 
13. Click in Finish button.
