3080682 - Incorrect UoM for Lot Size in Inspection Document KLM

Symptom

In Inspection Document KLM(where KLM is the Inspection ID) you notice that the UoM(Unit of Measure) for Lot Size is 'ij'(where ij is the UoM)
despite maintaining the UoM as 'xy'(where xy is the UoM) for the respective product in product portfolio.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Quality Control  Work Center
  2. Go to Inspections View
  3. Search and select inspection document KLM
  4. In General tab you can see UoM  for Lot size is "ij"

Cause

In Product portfolio Base/Inventory/Sales UoM is maintained as 'xy'.
However if the lot is in discreet/trading unit of measure – the lot quantity and the UoM are copied from Site Logistics Lot to Inspection.

If the lot is in discrete/Trading unit of measure, the lot quantity and the UoM are copied from Site Logistics Lot to Inspection.

Resolution

If the lot quantity is in a non-discrete/Physical UoM then the material master data is read to check if quantity conversion is maintained in any trading UoM. If yes, then one of the trading UoMs are used for calculating the lot size.
