3081703 - Web Dynpro Apps' Cells Merge in Excel Exports

When using the 'Export to Excel' function in Web Dynpro apps, cells automatically merge, which did not occur in their Design Studio equivalents.

S/4HANA Cloud

The following example uses the Web Dynpro version of the 'Trial Balance' app (ID F0996):

1. Open the 'Trial Balance' app
2. Fill out mandatory fields and execute
3. Choose 'Export to Excel'
4. See cell merging 

This is a known feature of the web dynpro equivalent to Design Studio apps.

An 'Export to Excel (Basic)' feature is planned to address this issue in a future release of S/4HANA Cloud.

Please use the following manual workaround until the automatic solution is implemented:

1.  Select the affected cells in the excel spreadsheet
2.  In the 'Home' tab, choose 'Merge & Center'
3.  Choose 'Unmerge'
