3081919 - Using Planning Filter to extract Master Data out of IBP

Symptom

  • In 2102 release, three new optional parameters, namely Planning Area($G_PLAN_AREA), Filter($G_IBP_FILTER_ID), and User Restrictions($G_IBP_USER_ID) have been added to the SAP Cloud Integration for data services (CI-DS) application job template.
  • You would like to use the Filter parameter to restrict amount of data or extract certain data from a Master Data Type.
  • For the purpose, parameters $G_PLAN_AREA and $G_IBP_FILTER_ID are added in Global Variables list in CPI. Planning Area and Planning Filter are selected in IBP Application Job Template.
  • The job completes successfully, but the filter condition is not respected i.e. all the available data in Master Data Type are extracted.
