Environment

Reproducing the Issue

In the following example, let's consider that the Offer Status is a required status in the pipeline. A Job Application will need to pass through the Offer Status to complete the whole hiring process. The recruiter can then take a new Job Application in the New Application Status (Default Status) and disqualify it (to any manual disqualification status). After that, the recruiter has the ability to add the Job Application back in the In-Progress Statuses but now, the recruiter has the ability to select any status.

In this case, the next status after the Offer is Pre-WOTC. The recruiter can take the Job Application, which hasn't gone through the Offer yet and move it to the Pre-WOTC.

  1. In the Job Requisition, take the Job Application in the New Application status
  2. Disqualify the Job Application (to any manual disqualification status)
  3. Now, you can move the Job Application back to any status in the pipeline, bypassing any required status.

Resolution

Product Management team has already been acknowledged this gap and they'll be implementing the code within upcoming releases to prevent users to bypass required statuses.

At the present moment, there's no workaround to avoid the recruiters to proceed the mentioned behavior.
