Symptom

  • You observe that the SAP HANA system restarted and you want to know what caused the restart
  • In the daemon trace file, you can find entries similar to the following:
    [92130]{-1}[-1/-1] 2021-07-19 06:03:11.342996 i Daemon           SignalsUNIX.cpp(00699) : signo 2 SIGINT from user errno 0 code 0
    sender pid 92122 real user id 1001 executable '/sapmnt/shared/<SID>/exe/linuxx86_64/HDB_1.00.122.35.1617912278_10255073/sapstart'
    [92130]{-1}[-1/-1] 2021-07-19 06:03:11.343118 i Daemon           TrexDaemon.cpp(04152) : got shutdown event (quit)
