3082822 - ERROR: An Error Occurred Please Try Again if the Problem Persists, Report an Incident


When opening an UI component in the frontend ,the UI dumps with the following error message occurs :

ERROR:  An error occurred please try again.If the problem persists, report an incident.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Workcentre Customer and navigate to Accounts.

  2. Open any Account from the available items.

  3. Select the tab relationship for any account.

  4. While the embedded component (.EC.uicomponent) loads in the tab, the non-informative exception appears as below:

  5. ERROR:  An error occured please try again.If the problem persists, report an incident.


When we bind the IdentifierDescriptionDatafield property with the Datafield PartnerName in the UI Designer, the IdentifierDescriptionNamespace property is not populated in the XML in the SAP backend.


As a workaround  try using the BusinessPartnerFormattedName, this is the namespace provided in the SAP standard  i.e. Customer->Common->BusinessPartnerFormattedName, trigger activation after selecting and save the change.

If the business requirnmnet is very specific to the description, the change has to be done by SAP manually at backend
