3083007 - Signal 4 in SSL_read or BIO_read crashes ASE server - SAP ASE

Symptom

  • ASE has SSL enable.
  • ASE crashes with an "Infected with signal 4 (SIGILL)" error in the function SSL_read() or BIO_read(). For example:
    Current process (0x0) infected with signal 4 (SIGILL)
    Address 0x0x00007ffff73a0c36 (SSL_read+0x6), siginfo (code, address) = (2, 0x0x00007ffff73a0c36)
  • The error is followed by a stack trace that contains functions:
