Symptom

The SAP S/4HANA migration cockpit is used to migrate data to SAP S/4HANA or SAP S/4HANA Cloud. A system error occurs when starting an action after copying many large migration objects or numerous objects to a project with the migration approach "Migrate Data Using Staging Tables"

For SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition and SAP S/4HANA systems, in the Migrate your Data –Migration Cockpit Fiori app, on the Monitoring screen -> Show messages: 

  • System error during preparation of the data transfer (Message no.  /LTB/MC 68)

For SAP S/4HANA systems (On–Premise), transaction code ST22 -> ABAP Programming error:   

  • GEN_TOO_MANY_CBS, Short Text: Too many "DATA" control blocks generated
