3084789 - Some background fields in application appear empty in the report - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When generating report on application data where some of the background information are selected like Application: Certification / Licenses, Application: Previous Employment, Application: Education and Application: Company Work Experience, some of the column appears blank.

The candidate has background information in their profile but these are not showing in the application report.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Reporting tab;
  2. Create New Table reports;
  3. Select Recruiting domain;
  4. Select any background element in application, for example: Certification / Licenses, Previous Employment, Education and Company, Work Experience;
  5. Generate a report, you will see blank despite having value in their candidate profile.

Cause

There is no candidate snapshot is generated in the application, when running the report.

Resolution

The candidate snapshot is generated when an operator/recruiters open or review the application for the first time. Whatever data exists in the candidate profile will flow in the application as soon as the recruiter open it. This includes the background element and More Information data in the application. Once the candidate snapshot is generated, all other changes made in the candidate profile will no longer sync the application.

Those application with value "New" are commonly affected in this report.
