3085075 - Stability Study issues in S4/HANA, like 'IP763 - Function of the Stability Study is Incorrect'

Symptom

  • Stability Study issues in SAP S/4HANA, like in transaction QM01 / QM02 the 'Create Testing Schedule' action fails with error:

    "NA  IP763
    ____________________________________________________

    Short Text
Function of the Stability Study is Incorrect

    Diagnosis
You want to create a schedule with call-up object inspection lot.
    However, an error was determined.

The error can have the following causes:
    - The SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension Set EA-PLM  is not active.
    - An incorrect implementation of the following BAdIs:
    -- IWP3_INSP_PLAN_CHECK
    -- IWP3_INSP_TYPE_CHECK
    -- IPM5_CALL_INSPLOT

    System Response
The system cannot perform the function.

    Procedure
Check the Customizing settings for the SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension Set EA-PLM. If the indicator is not set, then you can only create maintenance plans with a maintenance call object other than the inspection lot.

    Procedure for System Administration
If the indicator for the SAP R/3 Enterprise Extension Set EA-PLM is set, check that the BAdIs mentioned above are implemented correctly."

  • Message in transaction SE19 for BAdIs: 'EA-PLM is switched off; implementation will not be called', even business function EA-PLM is active.
