3085158 - How to translate Measure labels in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

 The following behavior occurs in occurs in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC):

• Labels of Measures coming from Live Data Sources are not translated 

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021
• Live Data Connection 

1. Create a Story based on Live Data Connection
2. Add a Chart with Measures and Calculated Measures
3. Go to Story Details / Enable Translation 
4. Save the Story
5. Go to the SAC Translation for the Story just created
6. Calculated Measures can be translated, whereas Measures do not appear for being translated

• By default, in SAP Analytics Cloud the translation of Measures' labels is done by the Live Data Source
• The Data Access Language specified in the User Profile Settings or in the Connection will be sent to the Live Data Source, which will return the data in the specified language

To force translation of the Measures' labels, change the Description in the Model (best option) or in the Story:

1. Select the Measure
2. Go to More (...)
3. Select Rename
4. Change the Description of the Measure. It must be slightly different or SAC will not enable the translation for that measure
