Symptom

  • when opening Version management, you may get an error similar to 

    Promotion management application is unable to process your request.
    The error from the server is: com.businessobjects.vms.VMSException: com.businessobjects.vms.VMSException: com.businessobjects.vms.VMSException: com.businessobjects.vms.VMSException: java.io.IOException: Could not start '"C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\subversion\svn" checkout svn://localhost:3690/svn_repository "C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\CheckOut\SBO\WORKSPACE" -N --username LCM --password xxxx --no-auth-cache --non-interactive' in current working directory 'C:\SAP BusinessObjects\SAP BusinessObjects Enterprise XI 4.0\win64_x64'. Details: CreateProcess error=2, The system cannot find the file specified

  • Also, when Testing the VMS application, it hangs.

  • Starting the LCMSubversion service from services.msc throws the following error -

    Windows could not start the LCMSubversion service on Local computer. Error=2, The system cannot find the file specified
