3085987 - How to post and reverse document in special period - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

When posting a document to special period (13-16) in Post General Journal Entries app and afterwards reversing it in Manage Journal Entries app, the posting periods of the reversal and reversed documents are different.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

In this case example the document is posted in Period 13 with Posting Date 31.12.YYYY.

  1. Post document via app Post General Journal Entries to Posting Period 13.
  2. Reverse this document in app Manage Journal Entries.
  3. Select 'Wrong Posting' as Reversal Reason, enter 31.12.YYYY as Posting Date and Period 13.
  4. Check the posted document. The reversal document is posted to Posting Period 12.

Resolution

During the reversal leave the Posting Date empty and give Period 13. The Posting Period of the reversal document will be 13.
