3086442 - [Cloud integration] RFC Receiver Adapter: HttpResponseException with bad payload

Symptom

  1. Using an RFC Receiver adapter in CPI iflow throws an exception 
    com.sap.it.rt.adapter.http.api.exception.HttpResponseException: An internal server error occured: com.sap.it.rt.adapter.rfc.library.param.impl.ScalarParameter (loaded by org.apache.felix.framework.BundleWiringImpl$BundleClassLoader@xxxxx) cannot be cast to com.sap.it.rt.adapter.rfc.library.param.impl.StructParameter (loaded by org.apache.felix.framework.BundleWiringImpl$BundleClassLoader@xxxx).
    The MPL ID for the failed message is : <MPL id>
    For more details please check tail log.
  2. The Cloud Connector debug trace shows the connection happening with the CPI tenant but connection getting closed midway.
