Symptom

System creates duplicate records in the job history when inserting a new record with change using the job history > Insert new record (not with Take Action)

Reproducing the Issue

  • Go to an employee profile > job history.
  • Insert a new record with data change with a new event & event reason; with a change in one of the fields.
  • Duplicate records are getting created and only happens with Insert new record  & not with Take Action.

Cause

The issue of duplicate records is due to an incorrect configuration of the SET statement of a rule. This leads to unexpected system behavior.

Resolution

Change the rule SET condition as below:
