Symptom

The error "Business partner ********** is not blocked; is used in system *******, application PROJ_SYS " is Raised While Blocking a Business Partner

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the Block Master Data Business Partner App
  2. Enter the BP to be blocked
  3. Select the setting of "Complete" in the "Detail Log" section
  4. The system returns the error "Business partner ********** is not blocked; is used in system *******, application PROJ_SYS "

Cause

The Business Partner is still used in a Prjoect

Resolution

  1. Check the open Projects find which Project(s) the BP is still used in
  2. Close the Project(s) or remove the BP from the Project(s)
