3087649 - Saved bookmark cannot be applied correctly in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• Saved bookmark cannot be applied correctly.
• By selecting the saved bookmark:
  
  • initial prompt variable window will pop-up with the initial value selection, and not the selected values.
  • The first page "Home" will open, and not the bookmarked page.
  • Warning message: Bookmark was partially applied. Show more: The Bookmark contains the following conflicts that cannot be applied:
    
    • The variable links for model "Model name1" and model "Model name2" don't match.

• SAP Analytics Cloud (Enterprise) 2021.07.17
• SAP HANA live connection

1. Login to SAC.
2. Open story created based on BW live connection.
3. Accept default prompt variable selection: Set
4. Select Story Variable 1 and clear already selected members, then select new member.
5. Select Story Variable 2 and and clear already selected members, then select new member.
6. Got to another page and wait until data loads with the previously defined variables.
7. Bookmark Current State: add name of the bookmark e.g. "Bookmark Issue" and Save. => Bookmark successfully saved.
8. Close and re-open the story, accept default prompt variable selection: Set.
9. Go to Open Saved Bookmarks - My Bookmarks - select the previously created "Bookmark Issue". =>
   
   1. initial prompt variable window will pop-up with the initial value selection, click Set.
   2. The first page will open
   3. with Warning message: Bookmark was partially applied. Show more: The Bookmark contains the following conflicts that cannot be applied:
      
      • The variable links for model "Model name1" and model "Model name2" don't match.

This behavior is by design

If a BW variable can be overriden by the server (such as exit variables or variables with default values), then the option "Keep last saved values for dynamic variables" needs to be enabled for bookmarks to work.
