Inbound/Input job Recommendations

Q: What are the recommendations on Integration Center file size for data loads?

A:

  • Use delta loads instead of full loads whenever possible to reduce processing time and system load.
  • Split large jobs into smaller ones, especially if they process a high number of records, as these tend to run longer and may impact performance.

  • If large volumes are unavoidable, do not exceed 50,000–80,000 records with 10–20 fields per job.

  • If your integration includes more than 20 fields, consider reducing the number of records accordingly.

  • These are general guidelines, as performance also depends on factors such as server workload at runtime, complexity of the database query, available memory and system resources.

  • Whenever possible, splitting jobs is the most reliable way to maintain performance and avoid issues.

Scheduling Recommendations

Q: Is it okay to copy integrations for different schedules?
A: No, it's not recommended to create multiple copies of the same integration for different schedules. This can lead to data inconsistency.
Instead, use the "Multiple Executions Per Day" feature, which becomes available when using Time-Based Filters like "Modified Since" or "Modified/Effective Since". Refer to KBA 2798716.
