3088093 - SUM phase MAIN_MIGSERIALSETUP_SOT/HOSTCHANGE_MOVE_SOT error: SYSTEMDB not connected

Symptom

  • The Software Update Manager (SUM) DMO is running on sequential_mode. During target system execution on phase MAIN_MIGSERIALSETUP_SOT/HOSTCHANGE_MOVE_SOT there is an error message in SUM log:
    /usr/sap/<SID>/SUM/abap/log/SETUPSERIAL.LOG:
    Thu Jul 08 15:07:09 GMT-03:00 2021 | com.sap.hdb.sl.lib.utils.cmd.clazz.IsConnectPossible
    | HDBSLLIB Exception: [FAILURE] com.sap.db.jdbc.exceptions.JDBCDriverException: SAP DBTech JDBC: Cannot connect to jdbc:sap://xxxxxxx:31015 [SAP DBTech JDBC: [2]: general error: SYSTEMDB not connected].
