3088112 - The error R11 187 occurs during the synchronization

1. Symptom: An industry is added to the BP but the Standard industry is not flagged. If any changes are made in the vendor master ( XK02 ) the error will be raised:

Diagnosis

While updating the master data, the system tried to update the corresponding business partner data. The following error occurred:
Industry * already exists for industry system *
R11-187

System Response

As a result, the business partner data could not be updated. The master data has been changed.

Procedure

Correct the entries in accordance with the error message above.

2. Symptom: The popup 'Data has been changed. Save the changes first?' occurs in spite of the fact that no changes were made in the BP. ( Please ensure that the SAP Note 2859997 has already been implemented)
